I would love it if someone released a guide on how to make new friends in a town where the only things to do are "go to walmart" or "get wasted to forget that your only option is go to walmart"

Oooh but what if they did a "temptations of power" arc and had the organization-wide reverence for him slowly lead to the doctor getting dangerously close to Waters of Mars levels of "I make the rules!" and then have the resolution of THAT lead to the ideal situation you described?

I don't think we talk enough about the fact that if you pick a random member of a pre-90s band there's an 80% chance their given name is either Steven/Stephen or James

Adding to that, look at how UNIT was in the first few seasons of new who, before Kate: "The Doctor is just another alien. If anything they're in our way right now."
I ~do~ think they rushed that transition a bit though. We should have had a few "bridge" episodes that showed the sentiment shifting

What if the real reason neurodivergence is "becoming so common" is that the universe IS a simulation and has been around for so long that bored players are starting to do challenge runs.

Actually no the dumbest part is that I can no longer stand or walk for more than an hour or two without pain, and can never again lift more than 50lbs without help, yet somehow it doesn't count as even disability-ADJACENT

Right? I think the dumbest part to me is we don't even know WHY the pain is sometimes recovery-only and sometimes chronic. Like it's literally a 50/50 chance which you'll get and the best guess anyone has is "accidental nerve damage" but then nerve blockers apparently don't always work for it?

Imo it's probably the best Stargate spinoff show. A few other recognizable faces pop up too; Jewel Staite plays a one-off then a recurring, and Robert Picardo is a regular in S2-3
