So after doing a "new to running" program on the Runna app for the last 5 weeks, and doing pretty good with following it at the gym on a treadmill, I did my first outdoor run today and HOLY SHIT IT WAS BAD. I didn't realise just how different it was, almost like I've never run before.

Hey Spotify, here's a free idea: do a better job at integrating when bands I follow are on tour in my city. Keeping track of what gigs I've bought tickets for is the only reason why I still have Facebook. Credit where credit's due, they do a really good job of tracking events.

Yesterday, after picking up the boys from school,y eldest left the passenger door open, which I didn't discover until this morning, after it had rained all yesterday afternoon and overnight. The back seat is fucking soaked, as is the door and there's condensation all through the car.

So in the last couple of months, I've started doing regular gym classes, been running 2-3 times a week, signed up for Parkrun and last week I signed up for doing the 5k race for the Melbourne Marathon Festival on October.
One thing I've noticed with streaming that shits me is when a movie franchise has a new movie out, suddenly all the previous titles are behind paywalls. Final Destination did it with some and now with 28 Years Later, the first 2 movies are $6 and $13 each to stream them on Amazon. Yar har har!
