Beane was definitely been intentional here, he is too good with the media to not know exactly what he was doing. What that intention was is open to interpretation but this is not just Beane blowing off steam.
I wouldn't rule out Beane's stunt today being a message to Kincaid and Coleman that "We believe in you but you better prove me right. Get your ass in the weight room."

I agree, no incentive to fly Southwest now. Same Fare, same BS fees.
To recap: Southwest’s own analyses have consistently shown that baggage fees will cost the company more in market share than they’ll bring in in new revenue, but private equity’s greed and fixation w/short-term profits is forcing all of these anti-consumer changes.
Southwest Airlines will start charging passengers to check bags for the first time.

That is a tough call on the Chiefs but has been consistently called, a little bit of a makeup and a little bit of it is next to impossible to play defense in the NFL.
