We don't talk about this man-made disaster in the UK. Easy to blame all of this on migrants and put all the pressure on working class and disadvantaged people.

Solidarity has because a thirty word now.

The first The Third Generation meeting at @ined.bsky.social

Thanks @mathieuichou.bsky.social for organising
We then moved to Paris to join the 'Third Generation and Beyond' workshop at Ined to meet researchers doing work on third-generation individuals with a migrant background. Great research, engaging discussions, and promising connections.

They were two very intensive but pleasant weeks. We made good progress in the ThirdGen questionnaire

The employment rate of non-EU born migrants exceeded that of the UK-born for the first time on record.

Confirms other evidence that recent migrants (even if they did not arrive on work visas) are very likely to be working/have high employment rates.

Was a great pleasure chairing this session with a lot of discussions on gender issues
We had an inspiring session yesterday morning at #ISAforum25 in Rabat! Our panel included papers on migrant socio-economic outcomes and relocation patterns, exploring family and gender effects. Enjoyed presenting our paper, followed by a rich debate by an enthusiastic audience.

Research shows GenZ are more often believers than Millennials in NL, but church membership keeps declining. Is it period or age effect though?

We show similar findings for west Europe for different religions, mainly for Muslim and Protestant second generation 👇
