External studies have shown:

-NIH funding directly or indirectly supported the development of ALL new treatments that were FDA approved between 2010-2020

-the return on NIH investment is estimated at 25-40% annually given the improvement in productivity from a healthier workforce

Facts matter.

With all the crazy news stories, I'm not sure my American friends even heard about this, and I wanted to explain why this is important:
1) this did not happened in Gaza or the West Bank. This happened in East Jerusalem. Meaning those are Israeli citizens.
2) these books are sold elsewhere...
The day Israel came for the booksellers
With a Palestinian coloring book as proof of 'incitement,' police raided East Jerusalem's Educational Bookshop and arrested its owners.

This might be the most nakedly corrupt document I’ve seen on DOJ letterhead — and I wrote a history of Watergate!
“You are directed … to dismiss the pending charges in United States v. Adams, No. 24 Cr. 556 (SDNY)…. The Justice Department has reached this conclusion without assessing the strength of the evidence or the legal theories on which the case is based”

This is what war on Palestinian identity looks like. On Sunday, Israeli police raided the Educational Bookshop in East Jerusalem, an iconic bookstore and cultural hub that sells books on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the history of Jerusalem, run by Mahmoud and Ahmad Muna.

Mentality matters. It isn’t about thinking positive thoughts. It’s about not paralyzing ourselves. That’s what cynicism does.

If you don’t believe a better world is possible, then it isn’t. People can’t act - from the most radical organizing to the smallest - if they believe nothing is worthwhile.

Frankly it’s embarrassing how much George Orwell’s “1984” gets wrong about 1984. The publisher should update it to be more accurate, e.g. “Winston heard ‘Eat It’ by Weird Al Yankovic playing on the radio. ‘I’d hate to be Michael Jackson right now!’ he said to Big Brother”

I know this thing about the price of eggs has everything to do with bird flu and nothing to do with who's the president, but I also sometime feels like being petty and unreasonable.

Trump is using Fentanyl as a reason for the increasing Tariffs on China and Mexico. But Fentanyl getting to the USA is already in decline since Biden cut a deal with President Xi and due to Kamala's work in S. America.
In a couple of month, he'll claim it's the tariffs that did that.
