Male celebrities massively outperform expectations in American politics (Trump, Reagan, Arnold, Ventura, Franken, etc.). Female celebrities, in contrast, are treated as jokes.
Cynthia Nixon ran against Cuomo for Governor of New York and lost because people were like haw haw Sex and the City Lady haw haw but has since been proven right about a while hell of a lot of stuff while Cuomo is considered a serious politician despite being a wrong headed loser creep
