Within the span of 24 hours two communities I am part of were targeted with extreme gun violence: Jewish people and academics. It is horrifying. Violence against people on the basis of thier non-violent-group membership is never the answer, is never appropriate.

My hot take about the 🌽 industry is that it would be a lot less alienating, toxic, & harmful for producers if it wasn’t so male oriented. Men making up a massive amount of the consumer base (because women are psychologically alienated from desire) centrally perpetuates the toxicity

My books do pretty well, but the backbone of my income is from film and television criticism on my Patreon, so I'm a full-time writer, but I'm doing two separate careers.
I know we know this, but authors need to get better at talking about how they actually make their money. Stop pretending it's from the books.
