It wasn’t like “women of a certain age don’t deserve hugs” it’s “patriarchy is incredibly cruel to older woman and removes intimacy from their lives, and sometimes you see a woman and she’s just really basquing in a hug and its both very sweet but also indicative”

Once escape/leaving becomes impossible than whatever happens afterwards, be it an improvement or, more likely, horror, you will have to endure. The question is never “are they going to put us into camps” the question is “can we leave before they do whatever they’re going to do?”

Less about frogs and more about past state horrors. There is usually a slow and progressive march of horrors against the group that is the target of the state. One of those horrors will inevitably be the loss of the ability to travel/emigrate. It is that loss thats the determining moment, not camps

Frogs have a vested interest in water not boiling, and fellow frogs surviving. Further, it is equally true, perhaps moreso given the need for control and complacency within a regime, that when the water is boiling some frogs will be paid to tell you that it isn’t, that you’re over reacting.

While it is true that within capitalism, when the water is not boiling there will always be a small percentage of people who make a living telling you the water is about to boil, that does not mean that whenever a frog is telling you the water is about to boil that it is being paid.

I am primarily talking about trans safety/rights here, but this also applies to things like climate change. And I expect it from liberals, but it is surprising how many radicals also seem invested in you going about your daily lives like everything is normal. Everythings not normal. Things are dire
