When you get a packet of Randoms are the ones with the goo in the middle actually the best ones or is it just some deep-seated psychological effect of scarcity value

What do rhythm guitarists and vacuum cleaners have in common?
When you plug them in, they both suck.
What do you call a guitarist who only knows two chords?
A music critic.

Every so often I end up deep, deep in an online rabbithole of looking at crazy expensive analogue mixing desks like a child licking a candy store window

I'm moving house at the moment and I really need to cut down on my amount of owned books. But I can't let them go. They're like little windows into my state of mind, sometimes as "I read that while X was happening" and sometimes as "i bought that and still haven't read it and its been twelve years".

I made new art for PROXY! It should be pushed out on streaming services very soon, and it's already available on the Bandcamp edition. If you already have it in a music library and want the file please shoot me a message and I can share it with you directly :)

I went to see "The Monkey" tonight and had an absolute blast. They really did a great job of capturing that @stephenking.bsky.social sense of humour.

The scene with a six-shooter held by a character wearing a raccoon shirt was either a subtle Dark Tower nod or a wonderful coincidence! Loved it.

Tone is in the wood! Tone is in the amp! Tone comes from your pickups!

Tone comes from the mind, brother. real tone comes from unwavering dedication to your craft and your commitment to furthering your knowledge. The real tone was in your heart all along.

Severance is a phenomenal TV show that has been let down only by the fact they didn't call Alia Shawkat's character May B.

You’ll probably see this screenshot floating around a lot but it really was wonderful to see Lynch put a scene in Twin Peaks: The Return where he has his character literally stare at the camera and say that you should either support trans people or die. I needed to hear that in 2017

I know how emotionally attached we get to art, but for real: you can let go of the art if the creator is a monster. There’s other songs, there’s other novels, there’s other stand up. You don’t have to hold on to shit made by shit people. You can let it go.

I think every song is in 4/4 if you're not a nerd EXCEPT for Take Five by The Dave Brubeck Quartet. But that's the only one.

I'm deep, deep into the written work for my last album "The Medium" at the moment. It's really exciting to be making something physical for people to experience this story that I'm telling. Hopefully it takes some people by surprise.
