Brilliantly skewers the head-in-the-sand folks who think Trump simply can't be a wannabe authoritarian with fascistic tendencies simply because 1) he's American and 2) that only happens in other (brown, black or leftist) countries.

It's amazing how often this line gets stuck in my head these days — just life under President Pretext.

"But it was all bullshit!"

Maybe we can get other MAGA idiots, including Trump, to start spending more time arguing with AI so they spend less time needlessly and stupidly breaking shit they don't understand.

Great summation, as usual by @hcrichardson.bsky.social. Trump's comment at the end reminds me of Lennie in "Of Mice and Men" saying, "He got his hand caught in the machine." open.substack.com/pub/heatherc...

Remember those bygone days when Trump was just dabbling in fascism.
In 2018, the first Trump admin. wrongfully deported an Iraqi man, despite a court order.

The U.S. govt quickly recognized the mistake and worked with the man's attorneys to bring him back.

He was later returned.

My story on the difference from then to now:

Trump Says He’s Powerless to Return Deported Migrant. But He’s Done So Before.
President Trump says he is powerless to retrieve a Salvadoran man who was deported because of an administrative error. But he has done so before.

Sometimes it’s difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel. That’s how I’m feeling about all the different ways in which the Trump administration is ramping up militarization of the border, mass deportation, and efforts to end our due-process rights. /1

Reckless wannabe autocrat POTUS indulges the opportunistic and racist portions of his pea brain, Part 4,851. And again it's gonna hit N.M.
Because of breaking news that could greatly impact our state, you get a bonus column this week. The Trump Administration is making plans to hand a stretch of land along New Mexico’s southern border to the Pentagon. That would be an alarming new level of militarization. /1

Love seeing history like this. Too many MAGA cultists buy the fiction that Trump is a brilliant visionary, bringing a great revolution through novel ideas when in reality he's just the latest loud and vapid monster parroting old white/wealth-supremacist bullshit.
“When you. .analyze the real condition of the Black man in America instead of the American White man eliminating the causes that create that condition, he tries to cover it up by accusing his accusers of teaching hate.”

Does Trump think there are tons of people who like him who are unfamiliar with and/or don't like Teslas? He's converting all of 12 people with this BS. Dumb Ass POTUS, Exhibit 3,985.
It’s truly insane that the economy is in a free fall and the president, who doesn’t drive, is spending his time giving a PR boost to the car brand of his billionaire buddy.

Weird how nobody outside the cult deserves a job or is capable or legitimately earning anything. #MAGAprojection
They hate veterans.
Alina Habba on veterans who have been fired from government jobs: "Perhaps they're not fit to have a job at this moment."

For convenience can we tag every Trump post with this? #PettySociopathicBitch
Friday's Oval Office betrayal was to create a pretext for this move. As long as Trump is in office, America will be on Putin's side.

One big sign your country's leader is probably on the side of righteousness: Trump doesn't trust him.
A person close to Trump tells Rolling Stone that Trump has for years viewed Zelensky as untrustworthy, perhaps especially in his post-presidency years.

Corporate leaders who were fine with Trump sadistically imposing mass suffering on vulnerable groups as long as they got their tax cuts deserve every last bit of what this madman is now unleashing on them with these tariffs. Assholes.
