For all you Christian nationalists that know your bible so well, it is worth reminding you that:
Christ was Woke.
Christ was educated.
Christ was charitable.
Christ was truthful.
Christ was a man of color.
Christ was a refugee.
Christ was a left wing agitator.
What Christ was not:
A vindictive man.

The people struggle every day with the conflict between personal selfishness and social selflessness.Survival of the person vs the community.Government and laws were developed to preserve the social structure so the strong didn’t just take what they wanted. When both fail, the people suffer. Impeach.

My wife was reading the news the other day and asked me,“what do you want to know?”
I said, “the answer.”
She said “look at the sun, the trees, the lake, the clouds, the sky. They will all be here long after Trump and Miller are gone.”
“But will we still be here?”
“If we fight the good fight, yes.”

It appears that Hamilton’s detractors have finally won. It’s not that there’s a problem with the constitution - it’s that any wack-a-doodle can be president. If we put a political test on the position, of course, the party in power will abuse it. The answer is with the people. They can’t be stupid.

I read an article on ‘Wonder’ today by Milbank, one of my favorite news writers. He poses that we are losing our humanity in this time.I think, rather, we are finding it. Like Goodal’s Humphrey, half of us blindly follow their psychopathic ape while the other gets brutalized. Civility is what’s lost.

It does no good trying to figure out who is the worst nation on earth. We need to understand the human propensity to commit crimes upon each other - how quickly a nation can revert to barbarism and why people are so willing to accept it.
Then we have to learn how to stop it.

Overwhelmed,
Overcome.

What concerns me most is that humans are incapable of rising above their primal nature. Their brains are marvelously adept at pattern matching and yet they choose to use this ability to divide, for selfish promotion detrimental to the survival of humanity. We don’t learn.

supreme Court’ judges take two oaths. The same one as the Executive an Congress and an oath to “administer justice impartially, equally and faithfully without respect to person”, status or wealth.

I content that clear half of congress and a third of SCOTUS is also in breach of their oaths.

The question is: has the government breached the contract?
The Executive has clearly broken his oath.
Members of Congress pledge to support and defend the Constitution. But one can’t “bear true faith” while simultaneously ignoring the Executive’s transgressions of the same Constitution. Oath broken.

The federal government made a contract with the people of the US. All the federal laws are predicated upon adherence to that contract. When the government breaches that contract its laws are no longer binding. Adherence is voluntary. State laws still apply to the people, except in Texas of course.

Truth and lies are siblings of human nature. Honesty kills hope in those that dream but don’t do. People need anger to motivate action. Yet angry people rarely do the right things. They burn & destroy. Lies, by design, create anger. That’s why dictators lie so much. That’s why truth is so delicate.

CW: Sexual assault

Women are being kidnapped and assaulted by men who impersonate ICE agents. This is one of many reasons why we can’t have a masked, unaccountable secret police force roaming the streets. Urge your elected officials to take action today: www.bluestatedefiance.org/no-secret-po...

1) The universe has two basic truths expressed as enthalpy and entropy. All things tend towards lower energy states and all things tend toward greater randomness.
Society is no different. It’s a constant struggle between order & chaos, law & freedom.A balance between human selflessness & selfishness.
August 21, 2025 at 12:12 PM
2) The court is a body that adjudicates a society’s ‘freedom to’ where the congress establishes a society’s ‘freedom from’.
The president is intended to administrate the edicts of the two and stay out of the way. It is not meant to be an agent of chaos and lawlessness. It is to protect not destroy.

I offer nothing more than simple facts, plain arguments, and common sense, and ask nothing of the reader but to divest themselves of prejudice and prepossession, and suffer their reason and feelings to determine:

Is this the America you want?

2) By giving the president immunity for his official actions SCOTUS has given nothing. Any action taken that is illegal or not in his powers is by definition - not IAW his oath and therefore not official. If the president uses this ruling as defense for his actions he is employing a false argument.
August 6, 2025 at 3:14 AM
3) If the president lied when he took the oath, then all actions taken by the president that are not expressly called out in the Constitution are subject to prosecution. The SCOTUS ruling on immunity is superfluous.
August 6, 2025 at 3:11 AM
1) If the president, by his oath, is to faithfully administer the Constitution and laws of the US, then he will have no need of immunity for his official actions. They will always be IAW the law. Any action taken that is illegal is, by simple logic, not an official duty and therefore prosecutable.
