We have seen these sorts of military-style interventions in Greece and Italy.

These DON'T WORK & only make the journeys more dangerous.

The same routes of travel need to be accessible to all of us; anything else is border violence, plain and simple.

Our thoughts are with the men who today were moved into Crowborough camp.
They came to the UK for sanctuary. Instead they've been used as a political tool, their suffering used to demonstrate this Government's commitment to cruelty above everything else.

People need to be housed in our communities, not in military barracks.

We can't go back to repeating the same mistakes that cost lives and retraumatised people seeking safety.

1/4 We are deeply concerned by the reported use of force within detention centres against people seeking asylum who peacefully protested the UK–France deal last week.

We question the necessity of using force against individuals engaging in peaceful protest within the centres.

Hostile immigration policies silence survivors and empower traffickers. This system is clearly not working. We must see change. Survivors deserve a system that puts their needs at the heart of policymaking. Survivors must be protected not punished. #ProtectSurvivors #EndTrafficking

We were disappointed by the portrayal of #HumanTrafficking in the recent #Emmerdale episode. Many survivors already feel afraid to report abuse and exploitation to the authorities. It is vital that portrayals do not further discourage survivors from seeking support. @itvx.com
