Today I realised the rate at which I buy books, the rate at which I read those books and permanent storage of these books are three different hobbies. 🥲🤭

Someone once comforted me saying "If you don’t feel like the phoenix today, it’s okay. Even the ashes take time to cool."

And to this day it comforts when in need. Passing it forward to whoever needs it

Picked up #StupidGuyGoesToIndia thinking it’d be a casual read… girrrl, I’m HOWLING.
This book feels like watching a chaotic documentary where the author has no idea what he’s doing but somehow makes a masterpiece anyway!

I thought to myself: aren’t we'll are? Isn’t that exactly how life works? 😭

Went browsing my next gigs on Upwork today and saw a client yelling in bold: “NO AI ANSWERS. DO NOT USE AI!”

Fair Enough. I opened their project details…
…and it was written "entirely by AI, in full AI-tone including emoticons". I actually cackled. Peak 2025 energy. 💀🤦🏻‍♀️

Missed my chat with Dragonfly's CEO on why single-threaded design "doesn't cut it anymore"? You're probably still using one.

We discussed how they rebuilt Redis from the ground up. Watch the "sharp takes" replay.

Everything and everywhere is starting to be AI now.
Cafés: Order with AI.
People: I’ll just ask AI what to feel and what to say.

Meanwhile I’m over here like: cool… can someone be humans again or is that out of fashion?

Feels like we’re capitalising loneliness instead of actually connecting.

I finally sat down and sketched how DNS resolution really happens—stub vs recursive, /etc/resolv.conf, and a semi comic-style flow you can scan in one glance.

I wrote something up after a long time. This time, it is a piece of career advice that I have personally struggled following - lol 😅

First User Framework
I might have accidentally discovered a framework that tries to address work-life balance and side project burnout. For some engineers and builders, this might sound like “common sense”, but it took me

From quiet moments of alienation to contrasting experiences abroad, this is my reflection on walking a solitary path in India.

Just read this thoughtful article on AI in education and academic integrity. While valuable, I believe we also need an even broader vision— reshaping education to prioritise civic responsibility and ethical leadership in an AI world.

Here's what I think should be central to this transformation:

Wrote up about Nil channels in #golang last night 📝

Bonus: I came up with a Go proverb about them 😅

Give it a read here: vishnubharathi.codes/blog/nil-cha...
Nil channels in Go
A friend from work messaged me today that they had a hard time because they had used var c chan int instead of c := make(chan int) in their Go code. I responded by saying that I usually have one rule

AI will change us fast and in many ways - good, bad, and unclear. The whole AI-humanity debate shows we need to rethink education systems at-least now, and also include civic responsibility and ethical leadership.

Just revamped my old command-line tools – automatically discover and configure Kubernetes contexts for AWS & GCP! Easily manage multiple clusters with custom naming based on cluster labels. I feel having this is a huge time-saver. Zero setup time!
