this really gets me. folks have other methods of verifying on THEIR time that doesn't require the artist to use up their time trying to do time lapses, uploading and promoting it

I used to do time-lapse videos. You can find them on my YouTube, but the program I used to make them doesn't exist anymore. I have chronic pain and severe depression. I don't have the energy to learn how to use Vegas pro just to prove myself. Assume the worst of me, I'm not making tiktoks.
You don't owe anybody anything, especially people trying to bully you with moralising. Making process videos and streaming is time consuming and sometimes feeling "watched" hurts the creative process. This take only hurts artists.

To address the whole ‘trying to be healthy while trans’ thing, I would invite cis people to imagine what it’s like to do something as mundane as use the local swimming pool as a trans woman. What the experience of using the changing rooms is like. How it is to climb out of the water in a swimsuit.
