One year ago, this little book hit the shelves in the UK. It didn't have much in the way of fanfare, no one will nominate it for awards, but despite everything, it's sold so much better than I expected and has made some solid fans, which, at the end of the day, is what matters.

I love this book so much.
In a week, it will be the anniversary of my second book coming out, and my second anniversary as an author, so I'm going to count down the days by trying to convince you to read it, starting with the cover - designed by Lydia Blagden and art by Mia Carnevale.

I’m not a good fit for military sci fi or for sword and sorcery fantasy, though I’m open to adjacent genres. I’m probably going to pass on stories about angels or demons. Sexual assault on page is an automatic no from me. #HiveMentor
