It looks like MISO's routine price separation is supporting Ukraine today.

Can someone make me a map of all the NREL geospatial wind and solar data and all of the existing and planned HVDC lines across the U.S. superimposed?

Next level distribution planning in Ho Chi Minh City.

I’ll add, contrary to my experience with Entergy NOLA. The power hasn’t flickered even a bit for 9 million people

#energysky Where does one find SPP's ITP Futures forecasted buildout? Like what MISO provides in their Futures Series 1a report?

Today, March 18, states like Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and other nearby states are getting 60% of their power from wind energy. #energysky

I find this stakeholder process for MISO's ERAS proposal utterly absurd. The gap between the first and second meeting discussing their proposal was 2 whole weekdays. Feedback requested, not reviewed

Another solar record in ERCOT today, this time with exactly 24,000 megawatts of output just a few minutes ago. That's 7,000 megawatts more than this time last year, a 40% increase in one year. Prices, of course, are low, <$15 per megawatt-hour.

Monitoring Winter Storm Enzo, both MISO and SPP are forecasting a decent amount of wind in the latter half of the 21st which coincides with some of the lowest temps.
This should be good for balancing out high wholesale costs, and SPP imports could be big given the temp difference

Good morning with good news: India doubled solar installations in 2024, compared to 2023, to a record high 24.5 GW. Wind additions also rose 21%

Utility-scale additions nearly tripled & rooftop rose 53% to 700,000 rooftop installations in 10 months!

While I respect the very important efforts of Entergy in restoring power in the aftermath of extreme events, the deal is not just to be there as a disaster aid service, it’s to provide power 8765 hours of the year. It’s incongruous for them to be lauded with awards by their trade association.
