Hi new peeps!

Burned out artist here, been on a breather for the past year to recover my creative mojo after years of low pay work and now AI...

Anyway here's stuff I have made, I hope you like it!

My painting lecturer in my last year at University studying Fine Art, critiqued my work as being "too Illustrative" it took me a couple of years but I eventually was able to see this not as criticism but a point in the right direction.

If you need a little hope this morning - the current tween trend involves decorating clothespins with affirming messages, then clipping them on friends' backpacks when they're not looking.

Here are a few that my 11-year-old decorated this weekend ❤️
Clothespins decorated with paint markers and pens, with affirming messages. Like "bee you" with a drawing of a bee. And "you're sweeter than pie" with a checked motif. And "you can do it" and "unleash your creativity."

Funnily enough, we're actually going to talk about how most of this is kinda sorta right (for small values of right), as a cautionary tale about generative AI.
