Sci-fi story: we'll have this cool technology in future year

Back in 2013 I did a pic that was intended to be sample art on my new commission rates sheet, but I didn't really like how it came out. So over the last few weeks I finally got around to redoing it. I think it turned out pretty good this time

Small suggestion: for your own mental health, take some time offline today and tomorrow. It's easy to forget to do this, but it's still really, really important, now more than ever.
I do try to avoid sounding parental, but at the same time I'd rather see folks thrive, y'know?

So the repair stuff with the slab leak is becoming an ongoing thing, since they apparently underestimated the extent of the damage. I'm not thrilled, but I'm getting by and probably won't need to crash anywhere. Hopefully this'll be done ASAP.

Update: the repair crew fixed the mains and switched my water back on, I'm good to go👍

The work on my apartment building is looking like it's going to take a while, and with the water off I can't really stay here. Comms work is on hold for a few days; everyone's patience is appreciated. I'm going to check back with the management on Friday and see where things stand.

Woke up to one of the repair guys knocking frantically on my door. Apparently the building has what's known as a slab leak and they had to rapidly shut off the water for each unit. I have no idea how long this will take to fix.😓
