We could be discouraged by this resistance to the changes we’re fighting for, or we could humbly accept the challenge and rise to the occasion.

Which wolf will you feed? Disappointment or Diligence? Resignation or Righteousness?

It's the last #MagnificentMonday of 2025! The days between Christmas and the new year always inspire me to reflect and plan how I want my next year to be.

The day after Christmas is the first day of Kwanzaa and an opportunity to highlight principles that build and fortify our communities.

Day 1🕯: Umoja/Unity -- To strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation, and race.

Barbara Rose Johns was 16 when she led a protest against conditions at her segregated school. Her bravery is deserving of its honor, but do not believe this level of bravery is rare. Her story is proof that a heart built for justice can do many things in the face of fear.

I like to repost this video of our daughter, Yolanda, with Walk with Amal on #MigrantsDay as a reminder of the compassion we must show to everyone. Our mission is to realize the dream of the World House, which requires a capacity to care for all, regardless of their origin.

Believe it or not, we all know a perimenopausal or menopausal woman in our lives. It's a season every woman must go through.

"Violence never brings permanent peace. It solves no social problem, it merely creates new and more complicated ones. Nonviolence is a powerful and just weapon. Indeed, it is a weapon unique in history, which cuts without wounding and ennobles the man who wields it."

The oppression we experience may feel like a novelty, but history teaches us that this country has been here before.

"All we say to America is be true to what you said on paper." -- Martin Luther King Jr.

We must continue the good work to bend the moral arc toward justice.

The Montgomery Bus Boycott lasted 381 days.

Rosa Parks' arrest triggered the movement, but resilience sustained it.

Listen to MLK speak about the purpose of the boycott in this clip from 1955.

We must rethink what "legacy" means and commit to something bigger than ourselves.

@officialmlk3.bsky.social and I, joined by dozens of powerful voices, share a guide for living with purpose, service, and connection. Your legacy is already in motion based on how you treat others today.

Today marks 70 years since the Montgomery Bus Boycott Movement.

Movements like that don't happen overnight; it takes diligent strategizing to pull off.

Rosa Parks didn't just refuse to give up her seat; she attended workshops for weeks before preparing for that moment.

This is what legislating oppression looks like.

Freedom of the press is under attack at the federal level, and its effects are spilling onto college campuses.

DEI is something to celebrate, not debate.
