Done with that other app, so I’m here mostly for the sports: DC United, Spirit, USMNT, USWNT, Man U, Caps, Commanders, Terps.
No, it just means NYRB comes to DC every other year, that’s just plainly stupid and the league thumbing its nose at DCU and its supporters. I truly hate this proposal
My opinion: this makes sense. RBNY vs DCU and Cali Clásico don’t go away, they just move to once a year.

Geographically this would be the right call.

- 5 divisions, six teams each
- San Jose not with California teams
- D.C. United not with Northeast teams

Likely plan, but not 100% confirmed yet. Playoff proposals too

WTF!?! As if being a DC United supporter isn’t a miserable enough experience, MLS trying to help Levien kill the franchise. Not a single rival, no original ‘96 franchise, no club close geographically or culturally. Depending on how the schedule works out this could be the death knell for my STM

How did Man City get Cherki for €36.5M, I feel like if that was any other club they’d have had to pay twice that fee for him

I haven’t read the original ruling or the SCOTUS order but I was taught a foundational aspect of the Court (all appellate courts) is they are not supposed to challenge district court factual findings, but that’s all the conservative justices do is disregard or challenge facts they find inconvenient

NWSL absolutely determined to cede its position as best women’s soccer league
NEW: The Spirit came up with a multi-million dollar offer to keep Trinity Rodman in the league, which she was ready to accept. It was vetoed by NWSL commissioner Jessica Berman, according to sources.

Where's it leave negotiations? Great question. www.nytimes.com/athletic/686...

Didn’t catch it live this first time, but so smart by Bruno seeing the wall and Henderson were unprepared, he says something to Mount before playing it quick, even Mount was caught by surprise

Really weird how stuff like this keeps happening! One could consider drawing some conclusions about the people in charge!
Exclusive: The U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify the swastika, nooses and the Confederate flag as hate symbols.

The military service drafted a new policy that classifies them as “potentially divisive.”

Don’t know where to start with the DC United/DC soccer news I’m just seeing. I’m so thoroughly done with the ownership group. Not sure I’ll be in town for the Miami game because it’s boys Jefferson Cup weekend, but even if I am, I wouldn’t exactly want to drive to a different city to use my tickets

USMNT doing this to Uruguay all while playing with a #9 who is showing very much why he’s a Championship-level player and not Premier League

I know they’re missing Valverde and Nuñez but I thought Uruguay was much better than this? I mean Poch has the USMNT really looking up, but man, not what I was expecting

Bought a house with bamboo overrunning the backyard, yes it was a pain in the ass but a couple days hard work digging up and ripping out the entire root system and it was gone for good. Can’t half ass it and only machete the stuff and think you’ll solve the problem. Metaphor in that I suppose
