I'm scanning all my Grandma's 110 film and the amount of times her thumb made an appearance in the photo is staggering. 😂

Found mould in the cellar and had to get rid of a couple wheelchairs, backpacks a few other things. I was hoping 2026 would be The Year Without Mould, but nope. So mad.

Found my old 35mm negatives from photo class in high school. Pics of me, my friends. Hardly anyone ever brought cameras to school in the early/mid 90s, so now I have photographic evidence I went to high school. 😂

Got a slide/negative scanner and went hunting for my negatives. I found 35mm, 110, 120, 126, 620 and Kodak Discs among a few other random weird ones. I'm most excited about the 110 and 35mm. I won't be able to do the 126 or 620 but I NEED to find a way to do the Disc film! I saw my cat on there!

Today is a bad pain day. I am sick of hurting all the time.

Wondering if my work would be something Wattpad might read? I'm currently working on a realistic YA coming of age set in the early '90s. Does anyone know what writing place might fit? #WritingCommunity

RIP James Van Der Beek. Folks, do your FIT tests and colonoscopies! People are getting cancers younger and younger.

The CBC Olympic broadcast sucks. I come in part way to speed skating and NO info on what it is. Leaders? Nope. Final or qual? No idea. There is zero info on screen. It was like this for Paris too. Tell us things!!

Watching some reporters act indignant that officials aren't answering their questions about the shooting, despite officials saying they're still information gathering is gross. Put that energy into your regular reporting instead of salivating over tragedies.

RIP Jim Robson 😭 That's my childhood Canucks voice.

I loved how he always gave a shout out to the "hospital patients, shut-ins, the pensioners, the blind, all the people who don't get out to games". My grandma was blind and listened to all the games.

I'm researching cat litter and just found our corn little can cause health issues in cats - including pancreatitis, liver failure, kidney failure.

We switched Jax to it years ago from silica because I thought it would be better, and now I'm afraid I made him sick and he died because of me.

I have been making my life so much more difficult in iTunes by putting things in playlists by right clicking and scrolling through ENDLESS playlists (auto expanded from their folders). I COULD HAVE JUST DRAGGED AND DROPPED TO THE LEFT WHERE I CAN COLLAPSE FOLDERS.

Read that article about the """writer""" generating 200 books a year with AI and needless to say, I had THOUGHTS
Writers Who Use AI Are Not Real Writers
Dorothy Parker famously (but probably not really) said, “I hate to write, but I love having written,” which is a sentiment I don’t largely understand or agree with in the broader …

This is honestly a big reason why I haven't published anything in years. I'm tired of putting so much effort in only to see readers buy this drivel because "authors" lie about using AI.
“If I can generate a book in a day, and you need six months to write a book, who’s going to win the race?” God this is bleak

Got some meringue powder at Bulk Barn. I am determined to make royal icing for my Valentine's sugar cookies.

I love book dedications. My Sin City book is dedicated to my co-writer, Tilt to our moms, The Dead Woman to co-writer's daughter, and Bayou Bound to my cousin. The Final Cut is dedicated to my mom, co-writer's daughter and our beta-reading friend (as well as each other lol). #WritingCommunity

I want to try writing some short scenes that may not fit in any of my books. Something just to get me writing about random fun stuff. #WeeknightWriters

I got to pet a cat yesterday! We lost ours in November, and I hadn't pet a cat since, and I've missed it. I need another soft writing companion.
Q3: Let's cheer things up a bit! What has brought you joy in the past week? Remember, no joy is too small! #WeeknightWriters

I always struggle with motivation. I think social media has broken my brain a little. Doom scrolling, TV playing something I've seen a hundred times, document open, but nothing comes out because my brain feels so fractured.
Q2: Is there anything specific you're struggling with this week? Let us know about it and we'll see what we can do to help! #WeeknightWriters

Every week I say I'm going to focus more, but I fail a lot.

I know I want to have cats in the future. Like, this year. I haven't had a kitten since I was 10. I'm nervous about that. Like ... what if I get one that knocks over the 7 Christmas trees I have? Or one that turns out to hate me? Or they hate cuddling?
