It is SO good.
This is another reminder for you to watch North of North. (I think it’s on Netflix in the US?)

This letter pretends it is reasonable and obvious but ultimately is an attempt to excuse a dozen or more ways of letting anti-human, pro-techlord, environment-destroying septic AI into our industry, organizations and processes. But there just isn’t an ethical use of generative AI, full stop.

Annette Dionne died on Christmas Eve. She was the last of the Dionne quintuplets.

Knives Out but the murder happens on a BC Ferry that Benoit Blanc is already on and the boat can’t dock until he solves the crime

In this scenario some people are headed to a retreat on a Gulf Island, there’s a high school sports team on board, and the car alarms never stop

Reading a "true crime" book right now where the author has essentially written fiction about the victims and killings. I am so sick of this trend with newer crime writers. I want the fucking facts, not some fictional reenactment of what the author thinks happened.

Got a couple books - Staying Gold: Oral History of The Outsiders and V6A: Writing From Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.

Okay, I'm really glad I stuck with it!
Started The House in the Cerulean Sea. I'm not a big fantasy reader (2-3% of my reading), and I'm not sure if I should keep going. He just left for the Parnassus orphanage.

It has amazing reviews, but so far I'm struggling. Do I just need to keep going or what? #Books #AmReading #Reading

I'm trying to come up with some ideas for resolutions that will be easy enough to achieve that I'll feel accomplished which will make me want to achieve some of the more in-depth ones.

Realized I'm less likely to read self published books right now (I know, I am one) - because I'm going to be wondering if they're written by AI.

At least when I pick up a Stephen King book I know he wrote it with his own brain.

I'm hoping it becomes a requirement to disclose if AI is involved.

You've been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you.

Who's coming to save you?

Went to the Shipyards Christmas Market and got a grilled cheese and some mini doughnuts. Then it got too peopley and I came home.

I've gotten so sucked in to following other peoples' schedules. My dinner will be ready in 20 mins. Despite the fact that I'm not hungry and didn't need to cook it this early. But I'm doing it because schedule.

Spending my solstice making cookies, watching movies and lounging in many blankets.

I highly recommend Waterfox for anyone thinking of leaving Firefox. I had tried Librewolf, Brave and other browsers, but Waterfox is nearly identical to FF (it's a fork) but with better main features. It's so fast and light and doesn't drain my battery. Import was very easy.

Since the cat passed I’ve barely taken any photos. I’d say 80% of my roll was pictures of him.

Why do I have my TV set at 10-12 for volume, but everything on Crave is at ear splitting decibels at that level? I need it at 4-5 to watch Crave. WTF?

Just popped some shortbread with jam centres in the middle. Used Bonne Maman strawberry, raspberry, and peach mango.

Had to go out and cover my garlic planter box because there were literal puddles in it. It's been raining so hard for so long that the soil is pretty much soup. Thinking I should throw some life preservers in there for the seed garlic to grab onto.

My WIP #AwesomeCharacters are in foster care, so Joy would spend Christmas with her twin sister, Libby, and their roommate, Angel. She'd also sneak in a visit to her best friend/boyfriend Cal, probably at a sleazy motel because he's mostly homeless.
Tell me more about your #AwesomeCharacters

I've got holidays soon, which got me thinking: who would your characters choose to spend their holidays with?

Friends, family, a lover, a combination of these?

Would they want a large gathering or small?

Didn’t sleep much last night because of the wind and rain. I am shocked we still have power.
