Sutter Roseville Medical Center has found a way to legally commit murder of disabled people that they consider "unworthy of life" based on arbitrary criteria they made up rather than being based on ANY known medicine or science. They base it purely on "Vibes".

When we can get Sasha into UC Davis, and she is actually getting care, we must not turn away! Her and her family will continue to need our help, and will definitely still need funds! It’s very hard and exhausting, but what we feel is just a small taste of what Ang, Sasha, and family feel!

I spoke to someone at the UC Davis transfer center. If you can somehow get Sasha to their ER she will be triaged like any other patient. UC Davis unfortunately cannot initiate the transfer, it has to come from the referring facility. @atherist.bsky.social @giveearichlifeline.bsky.social

Summary:
UC Davis Referral and Transfer Center: 916-734-8200 2:37 PM Pacific 12/22/2025. I called and spoke to someone named Karen, who was very kind and sympathetic. ME: Hi, I'm calling on behalf of a friend who's in a very stressful situation. My friend's sister is 27 years old and is in acute organ failure. She was taken by ambulance last night back to Sutter Roseville but wants to be taken to UC Davis. Sutter Roseville previously discharged her unsafely and they are refusing to treat her. I believe the family twice requested AMR to bring her to UC Davis, but she keeps being brought to Sutter. Sutter is refusing to provide care and is trying to force her into hospice. Sutter seems to be obstructing requests for a transfer. The family is stuck in a bureaucratic nightmare and I'm trying to do what I can to help them get a transfer to your facility when the team at Sutter is refusing to acknowledge the patient's sister as medical power of attorney. I realize with HIPAA there's a limit to what you can tell me. But any info you provide, I'll pass back along to her sister and mother, and I know they will be very grateful. The patient is Sasha Vondra. Her sister is Angela Vondra. Her mother is Michelle. HER: The case manager from Sutter is the one who has to provide the demographic and clinical information, another facility may not even have a bed available, and the request has to come from the referring facility. ME: What do they do if the case manager is refusing to request a transfer? HER: They could try to talk to patient relations or escalate to a charge nurse or manager. They could say they want a second opinion, or a different doctor, to try that route. They can try to follow the chain of command. Sutter should have patient relations. ME: I advised that the team with Sutter is essentially telling her to go home to die, and that I believe the family has already escalated their concerns as high up as they can go within Sutter. I asked why the ambulance would keep returning her to Sutter; is it because they're the closest? HER: There's a variety of factors but they are probably taking her to the closest trauma center. ME: I then asked if Sasha could somehow be brought to the ER, to just walk in like any other patient, would she at least be evaluated like anybody else? HER: Yes, she would be triaged at the ER. ME: And there's no way for UC Davis to initiate the transfer, correct? It has to start from wherever the patient is currently admitted? HER: Correct, UC Davis cannot call to other facilities, Sutter would have to initiate. ME: I thanked her very much for her help and let her know I would pass it along and that I'd be driving her there myself if I could. I thanked her too for her time, and that I know I called a phone number that's not really meant for patients, so that I am very grateful for her still taking the time to discuss with me. HER: She sounded genuinely sympathetic and concerned, and said she hopes that my friend & the family are able to help her, and to take care.
