Enough is enough.

Join us and call on the UK Government to license gamebird shooting and help protect these incredible birds before it’s too late. 👇

This is beyond shocking - how can this be allowed to happen? Why on earth can’t they be released on bail? They have a right to a fair trial, appropriate medical treatment, & the removal of punitive Prison Service conditions. Govt’s ban on Palestine Action is simply intolerable

And the answer to the question below is [drum roll] . . .

A Black-headed Gull ringed in Rautalampi, Finland in April . . . 1996!

#BirdRinging #BirdingWales
Alex Hill and Calum Stringer found this ring, minus a bird, while searching for fossils recently on the beach at Lavernock Point.

It is a Finnish ring about 8mm in width. But can you guess which species of bird originally carried it?

Tune in tomorrow for a very interesting answer! #BirdRinging

Daeth Alex Hill a Calum Stringer o hyd i'r fodrwy hon – heb aderyn – wrth chwilio am ffosiliau yn ddiweddar ar draeth Larnog, ger Penarth.

Modrwy o'r Ffindir yw hi tua 8mm o led. Ond allwch chi ddyfalu pa rywogaeth o aderyn oedd yn ei chario'n wreiddiol?

It was a beautiful morning for the annual coordinated #GreenSandpiper count on the R Ely today. We had a safe count of 10 birds, with a possible max of 15. That’s one more than Jan 2025 but down on our highest safe count of 15 birds in Jan 2023.

A big thank you to all who took part in the survey 🙏

At Pentrefelin in North Wales, Huw Foulkes is transforming his farm with planned grazing and 60-90 days’ rest per paddock.

The result: healthier soils, more grass, lower feed and fertiliser costs, and cows fed on grass 365 days a year.

Could it work on your farm?
