Very sad news: Brian Fagan has died. After archaeology at Cambridge he moved to the US, professor of anthropology UC Santa Barbara & writer of all things archaeological, shaming the rest of us by his output. I have a fond memory of interviewing him for British Archaeology, at our new overgrown home
