Buggering off for the next four years. Ciao
S is home today as still not 100%. She’s watching Bluey and the ‘Baby Race’ episode came on IYKYK

Sounds like a proper battle ensued between Rybakina and Pegula. Solid performance from Pegula to claw her way back from match points down and take the match to a tie-break

So, Tesla will cease producing its Models S and X next quarter and pivot production to AI robots.

Cyberdyne Systems, anyone?

New planet just dropped and it

1) is almost exactly Earth-sized

2) has a year that's almost exactly 1 Earth year.

3) orbits a star that is not a 💢temperamental little shit M-dwarf 💢but is instead a 🧡 good orange boi 🧡

On the train and listening to the audio of the news on the Irish Times and they’ve definitely used AI. The most suspect pronunciation of ‘Helen McEntee’, ‘Oireachtas’ and ‘Dáil’. Lads, make it stop. Do it properly by using a human being.

Suella Braverman. Former Home Secretary who defected to that cesspit party has criticised her former other cesspit party of “failures” on issues such as asylum seekers and legal migration. Imagine her surprise when someone tells her she was in charge of such matters as Home Secretary. Vapid weapon.

Because they’re gullible to believe billionaires and millionaires who tell them that foreigners are after their jobs, houses and benefits. All while the rich are getting richer without giving a damn about those they’ve brainwashed into further poverty and misery.
The share of England’s population that is white British has fallen during the 2020s, while every large ethnic-minority group has grown. But some places have changed more quickly than others
Why do Britons oppose immigration?
Our new number-crunching sheds light on why some parts of the country are more relaxed about ethnic diversity than others

Can world leaders (looking at those in the EU and the UK in particular) be more like Mark Carney? Please. It’s not a huge ask. Standing up to a tyrant, a rapist and paedophile should not be difficult. History will judge you.

Listening to The Economist World in Brief and they’ve used AI voice narration, which is just…no! I do enjoy listening to articles being narrated, in particular when I am out and about (like right now in the supermarket) but some of the pronunciation is a bit suspect (Shinoz Abe, for instance).

Needed a lie in today! What a stressful day it is when you have a poorly child. She did wake up at 3am and got into our bed, thankfully she went straight back asleep.

Had to bring S to the out of hours GP in Dún Laoghaire as she’s not been well since she got home from crèche yesterday. Dr was lovely and had great chats with her. Turns out he is Welsh. Home now and she’s had her antibiotics. About to get her to sleep. Please let her sleep through the night!

WFH with a sick child is rough stuff when you’re up against the deadline clock and getting chased left, right and centre.

Like the Titanic, USA’s economy is currently on course for an iceberg. Rising inflation, rising unemployment, weak job growth.

If Denmark wasn’t part of the discussion between NATO and the USA on this “framework” for Greenland, what was the point of it all? You can take Trump’s words that he will “not use force” with the seriousness of the paper it was printed on.

Trump now repeatedly calling Greenland 'Iceland'.

"They're [NATO] not there for us on Iceland that I can tell you. I mean, our stock market took the first dip yesterday because of Iceland. So Iceland's already cost us a lot of money"
