Something really needs to be done with the orange man. Stop bending the knee. Quit with the fealty. He isn’t a lord. He isn’t a king. He needs to be in prison, in hospital or dropped in hole.

I don’t want to be dramatic but have been thinking more & more of the legislation that the UCP has passed. It is immoral. Where is the line for those of us in public service? Whose work is guided by legislation? Years from now when we say we were following orders will that be sufficient? #ableg

My heart is sad today. I tell myself don’t read the comments when I come across posts about the UCP. There seems to be so many freedom loving people totally ok with freedoms for some but not all. Targeting trans people is repulsive, immoral. And UCP supporters are ok with it. #ableg #abpoli

Alberta legislature passes bill invoking Charter override for fourth time “Smith not in the chamber for the final vote”. Such a bloody coward. Wants to be able to fall back and say she didn’t vote against taking rights away. The UCP is morally corrupt.

I know folks get mad at unionized workers who strike. These folks feel inconvenienced and accuse unionized workers of being lazy and greedy. You know what? How about be mad at the billionaires who are at the top of the corporations? Be mad at billionaires who don’t pay their fair share of taxes.

The UCP re: recent MOU- they don’t care that demand for oil will decrease. They don’t really care about environment or Indigenous voice. They want to make as much money now as possible. As for private ownership? Companies will wait for UCP to extend corporate welfare to get build done. #ableg

Not entirely thrilled with this MOU being signed today. Bolsters support for UCP. People will forget how terrible they are, how immoral and unethical they are. Seems a pipeline is bad for BC. Aren’t there other mechanisms to build the economy?

I am trying to think what it must be like to be a UCP supporter or member. To wake up each morning filled with piety and self-righteousness and believe you are better or know better than everyone else. To actively work to disarm people of rights. I can’t get there. At. All. #ableg #abpoli

Danielle Smith is using the notwithstanding clause to protect herself while crushing individuals' Charter rights.

That’s not freedom, that’s cowardice.

And Albertans won’t stand for it.

A lot of questions today about how Danielle Smith -- the "libertarian" and "conservative" -- could use closure & the notwithstanding clause to remove Albertans' Charter rights.

The answer: she's neither libertarian nor conservative.

Is the province or her party, though? We'll soon find out.+

ICE agents by all accounts are teeny tiny thin skinned men who like to exert power to make themselves feel big and important. This could also describe Republicans and Conservatives everywhere.
