I found #Highest2Lowest to be an imperfectly glorious testament to Spike Lee and Denzel Washington as artists. Uneven, but the film’s highs soar.

Disney’s Accidental Ode to the Coming-Out Experience: ‘Sky High’ 20 Years Later - THE ROLLING TAPE
On the surface, Sky High may just seem like a high school comedy. In reality, the film is thematically rich with ideas about authentic identity and pushing against societal structures.

#Sinners is Ryan Coogler’s ode to community & tradition through the lens of the blues. Cinematic, sweeping, & exhilarating. Michael B. Jordan is truly a movie star & Hailee Steinfeld is the best she’s been since True Grit. But Wunmi Mosaku is the beating heart.

Review: Seth Rogen Lovingly Lampoons the Hollywood System in ‘The Studio’

#SnowWhite is fine! A serviceable movie for young audiences thanks largely to a wonderful performance from Rachel Zegler. Meanwhile, Gal Gadot is certainly on screen….. unfathomably bad performance. The new songs lack identity & get overshadowed by the classic numbers. Dopey Supremacy!
