The pinnacle of comedy for me as a child was Catherine O’Hara in “Beetlejuice.” Her timing, the subtle but impactful choices made her one of the greats. It’s truly incomprehensible to lose such a legend.

If anyone is going to pull off an interior performance about grief, it’s Claire Foy. At times, a touch slow, “H is for Hawk” is a compelling film about loss, love, and finding yourself on the other side of grief. Full review below!

Y’all, it’s a big episode. And I wouldn’t want to talk about “Waitress” with anyone else. This film truly was the paradigm shift for me. Adrienne Shelly and her film came into my life at such a formative age, and it piqued my interest in women in film. Hope you all enjoy this ep as much as I do! 🥧💛

Completing the year with another appearance on the Female Gaze podcast to discuss Jane Campion's brilliant The Power of the Dog was brilliant. A film I can never grow tired of discovering more in depth details and appreciating it.
