The notion that anticolonial/decolonial thought & praxis could be commensurable with, and even fall under, decentring, postcolonial, poststructuralist claims to knowledge only makes sense within a eurocentred tradition of critique.

It's good to remind ourselves of our history - the shoulders we stand on and the struggle that has gone before

It’s astonishing how china is now claiming Bajo de Masinloc / Panatag Shoal as a ‘national nature reserve’ when they have been committing ecocide there for years through sea-grabbing, ruining traditional fishing grounds by Zambalense people.

Rampant wealth grabs causing public discontent not least in Indonesia, Nepal, and the Philippines are fuelled by depraved market values in line with the colonial/modern order of things. No decoloniality without quashing kleptocracy!

Food Delivery: Fresh from the West Philippine Sea

They tried banning this film for a reason: it sabotages the myth of a supposedly benign pro-Global South «great power» by following the lives of those in peril at sea while resisting sino-militarisation & hegemony.

5/5!

Using anti-imperialist, Decolonial language does not make someone’s analysis anti-imperialist and anti-colonial. Reactionary propaganda can dangerously be cloaked in such language and I’m not talking about the US context here.
