A delusional narrative is taking shape in ch*nese social media on further engorging the already delusional 9-dash line to claim the Palawan islands as historically part of ch*na. A spit in the face of Batak, Kagayanen, Palaw’an, Taaw’t Bato, Tagbanwa and other indigenous peoples there!

In Dhaka: art and aspirations by youth protesters

Back in picturesque Palawan after 6 years, but quite sad to learn about many Palaw’an people forced to sell their land to wealthy Filipino+foreign business owners eager to snap up the tourist boom on the islands.

Our forum is out now on contested European memory politics & the need to work towards a “culture of remembering”.

My essay troubles the colonial amnesia in the EU’s trade encounters with the Third World.
