A massive digital marketing conference is happening in my city this week: 70,000+ people, not far from our target audience.
We didn’t get a booth. I wanted to do something different:

Bit frightened, but also excited to see if it works or was just plain stupid

While researching our buyer, I saw he often mentioned the MFM podcast.
Small thing—but it made me feel we were from the same corner of the internet.
Trust like that isn’t engineered. It just shows up.

There's a law telling you should report incoming wire transfers above 12.500€ from abroad.
This is the registration screen asking for a reporting number, but which?
Bonus: you can only call the hotline from a FIXED phone line 🤯

Me: Hmm... yeah, I know, it's not incredible... PWA has limitations with what we can do... 😕
Customer: It's so small I can't read anything
Me: Hmm...?
> Sends screenshot
> Turns out they had checked "Desktop site" on Chrome and forgot to untick

"JUST MAKE THE AI BUTTON BIGGER!!"
I've been using Gmail for 18 years now, and never been that close to replace it with something else. Sad.

I initially had in mind to create an alternative of ProductHunt but @tsanlis.bsky.social is doing a way better job with Uneed.best.
If you go to the website, you'll see the initial idea I had but it's all fake right now ;)

It's crazy to think that what we bought as an unmonetized side project for $5,000 seven years ago turned into a $350k+ ARR business with 3000+ paying customers.
All of this while still working a 9-5 at a big tech firm 🤯

A tradition is to cook something extravagant for Saturday's dinner while working on a new meaningful feature we could ship that same evening.
This year: Beef wellington + shared collaborative drafts for @getfernand.

I feel so lucky that my co-founder @cnicodeme.com and I have found a dynamic that’s rock solid over the 15 years we collaborated together.
It's a bit unconventional, so I thought I'd share:

- Relentless focus on uptime and product quality (even if your product sucks, it should do what it advertises reliably)
- Obsessive customer support
Everything else comes second

Founders think they need to add features to stay relevant, but the truth is that a boring, reliable service beats a flashy, half-baked one every time.
Hard thing is to balance it out

More rest = sharper focus. I'm just procrastinating less, and spending more time actively working on the things that matter.
It’s counterintuitive until you try it.
