After almost 14 years at BioWare, I am devastated to learn today that myself and others must seek new opportunities.
I am so grateful for all of the learning, challenges, and most importantly the team. I will remember my time here with joy.
Tomorrow we'll move forward. For today I will just be sad.

Honestly anywhere that isn't a used bookstore. The royalties paid out for ebooks are pretty similar, ditto print. Though, guessing, direct from Amazon probably edges out for Rogues of the Republic. Feeder should be about the same $ everywhere.

ranted over discord abt how painfully transparent that bioware blog post was bc it seriously got me twisted
![in particular, the bioware blog post rubs me the wrong way because:
1. naming their og mass effect staff is fucked up in the sense that they're effectively parading senior staff around in a blog post announcing another round of layoffs for all their (now former) colleagues
2. they don't even have the balls to announce the layoffs forthright, we're only learning the specifics on who was laid off or moved to a different studio within ea because we're semi-tapped into the former devs on social media
3. the combination of "we don't require support from the full studio" and
"[becoming] a more agile, focused studio" and the focus on "innovation" raises so many red flags about them moving forward (are they just planning to hire cheaper labor, are they planning to supplement with heavy amounts of [gen]ai, etc)
