It was rather novel for me a few months ago to be asked to talk about a novel – "The French Lieutenant's Woman" by John Fowles, which Anthony Burgess chose as one of the best novels in English since 1939. Here is a link to the podcast.

Good news for this gentleman, our podcast exploring the books that make up Anthony Burgess's Ninety-Nine Novels is releasing new episodes, and can be found in all the usual podcast places! (We can't help with the focus though...)
One of the best books I ever read about writing was Ninety-Nine Novels by Anthony Burgess, a book essentially about other people's writing. However, he did let slip that even into his older years, he kept by the rule "2000 words before breakfast". I would kill to be that focussed. It just ain't me.
