" The Antelope Valley and the High Desert of California are a treasure trove of geological history. Here we visit just a couple of the unique and interesting points of interest in the area: the Highway 14 road cutting in Palmdale and the Devil's Punchbowl."

After years in storage, 1099 takes to the skies once more

80-1099, the last U-2 ever built, was restored to flying condition by the incredible folks at the Skunk Works and flew for the first time since 2008 yesterday

Huh. Kinda inneresting, ain't it?
www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news... “law enforcement agencies that use [WA database] are required to sign an agreement…they will not use the system for immigration enforcement.”
Homeland Security signed the agrmt, then let its ICE colleagues use the database for immigration cases. Not acceptable.

The state Department of Licensing says an ICE division lied about how information obtained through a state system would be used.

Republicans will continue to look for ways to break Medicaid, Medicare, & the Affordable Care Act to free up billions in tax breaks for billionaires.

15 million Americans will lose health care under the Big Ugly Law, which cuts over $1 trillion from Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act.

Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are promises & essential for Americans. But President Trump & Republicans have passed their Big Ugly Law, with no sign of lower costs for the people.

Their agenda: put the billionaires first, and if that comes at higher costs for everyone else, so be it.

I met with farmers from California’s 25th Congressional District to address their biggest concerns.

We discussed how important it is to incentivize buying homegrown products so our families can keep enjoying fresh, local food while supporting the growers who make it possible.

One of the factors in Robyn's death was the lack of sideguards on commercial trucks.

The original truck sideguard patent was issued July 24th, 1896 (that is not a typo). Most other countries require truck sideguards and have so for a decade or more.

I was interviewed about this by ProPublica.
DOT Researchers Suggested a Way to Make Big Trucks Safer. After Meeting With Lobbyists, Agency Officials Rejected the Idea.
The Department of Transportation allowed trucking lobbyists to review an unpublished report recommending a safety device that could save lives by preventing pedestrians and cyclists from getting crush...

Bills such as this need to be remembered, so when both houses and the presidency is back in Democratic control they can be passed.

That will be a very long list!
They’re pushing back because it would also ban the administration from trading stocks.

They’d be fine with limiting Congress, but their own insider trading must continue
