Okay, so I looked up female saints, incase they stick with a theme. Turns out Brigid is the saint of children who's parents are not married AND of travelers.
Brigid might actually be a good choice thematically
(There's also Agatha and Catherine, who protect against fire, but that's foreshadowing)
