The desirable property of link in bio is that folks can see it from any app view and remove it if it is unexpected. It is important that folks can, outside of the Germ app, tell if someone is claiming to be them in Germ, and stop it.

👻 Something a little tricky about our ATProto integration rollout is that folks in the beta can have clickable links in their bios (your https:// link), but everyone else can chat with those users (if friends) by clicking that link and setting up an anchr:// key in their bios! 🎃
