New: Mass. legislators have pledged to be more transparent this session. But in a recent @bostonglobe.com survey, just 12 percent of lawmakers said they should be subject to the state's public records law.

The vast majority — 78 percent — didn't respond to our questions at all.

The quiet town of Cumberland ME is now the epicenter of Trump & Gov. Mills' battle over the rights of transgender students.

In some ways, Mills is taking a stand on behalf of one student from here. Most say they're glad to see it.
