CK had two extremely funny bits, namely the Pig Newtons one and Suck a Bag of Dicks (which somebody vaguely alluded to in this thread.) I heard those, signed on as a fan, and slowly became frustrated that he basically never got back to that level in his other material.

Louis CK was absolutely funny before his controversy and it's remarkable that after being backed into a corner, he went all in on unfunny racist and transphobic jokes.

I wish I could just tell the algorithms on other platforms what I want and don't want. I'd tell it (1) I don't want to see Louis C.K. in any format and (2) I know the guy who had my telephone # before me was Hasidic, but that's a different person.

I was happy to see that Rebecca Valeriano-Flores (formerly of Negative Scanner) has a demo out with a new band. The new sound seems to be more jangly, more melodic, less in-your-face, so we'll see how that goes.

I was happy to see that Rebecca Valeriano-Flores (formerly of Negative Scanner) has a demo out with a new band. The new sound seems to be more jangly, more melodic, less in-your-face, so we'll see how that goes.

I've already blocked the guy out there arguing that it's "a brutal time to be a boy" because he's being a dick, but also, all society actually asks is that boys be reasonably smart and sensitive, and to play nice with their classmates, colleagues, and romantic partners. It's really not difficult.

One positive note in this election is that the Moms for Liberty-type candidate for our local school board lost. I actually thought he was a shoo-in but happily our town knows that "my child will become trans in school and they won't notify me" is not a real problem.
