These reasonable demands include the UK changing its foreign policy and compromising its defense supply chains.

No, I don't think the govt should give into blackmail and encourage more people to self-harm by negotiating.

Every single one of these homes started construction under Labour.

In terms of actual policy the Greens have slashed the number of Council homes to be built in the future by to 728 from 3012.

Nothing like stolen glory.

Shamima Begum was the beginning of something in so many ways, one of which was 'the last government's inability to just do its job properly (in this case by passing legislation that would have allowed it to prosecute her here at home) and instead going 'no option but to undermine all our rights'.
There should be literally no circumstances, ever, where citizenship is can be revoked. If you literally sign up to fight for an opposing army in a war, then we should prosecute you for treason not revoke citizenship

People who pride themselves on tiptoeing over language, who talk about words as violence and the importance of listening and lived experience, will suddenly just go "no, we don't believe you, you're the one misinterpreting those words, we're going to use them anyway".

But only when it comes to Jews

The answer to can Zack do better is obviously not. Its an economic policy program designed to lead to hyperinflation and stagnation, and would throw millions into hardship.

Come off it. The man said Thatcher invented the deficit. Thats a dangerous level of ignorance and the path to economic disaster

And the head of the OBR has resigned. I see why some think it looks excessive, but it’s not. Publishing reports is what the OBR does!

This was a failure of process at multiple levels, meaning they messed up the most important thing they do. It’s the 21st century: ”IT stuff” is boardroom stuff.
There’s a layering of fuckups at different levels that allows something like that to happen. I don’t think it would be silly or overblown for someone very senior in the OBR to be required to take responsibility for it.

There should be no notion of parental choice re childhood vaccination.

I’ve been around long enough to see the same dangerous nonsense repeated about whooping cough, MMR and Covid.

Jab the kids up.

Completely agree. My daughter's currently 1 month old and was born 7 weeks early. The only protection she's got is herd immunity, seems crazy that we put kids like her at risk to satisfy some misguided ideal of parental choice

I dont know how you square that with how bond markets have reacted e.g. post budget last year? That clearly wasn't a certainty issue - govt v clear on what they were doing (borrowing and spending more).

While quantification of fiscal space is a bit finger in the air, wrong to say not a constraint

Have written up some of my thoughts about the increasingly sinister use of 'non-UK born' and 'white British' in the British press. The obsession with 'white British' citizens over other British citizens harms all of us and needs to be called out.
