Recently visited the Glass Flowers at Harvard, a collection of 4,300 extraordinarily realistic glass models of plants crafted by the Blaschkas, a father and son team of sculptors

That’s right, these are all made primarily of GLASS — a fact difficult to accept given how accurate & lifelike they are

The media coverage of the EPBC reforms has largely been terrible.

Two key points that many omit:

1. The _primary function_ of the Environment Protection & Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 is clear in its name. Hint, it's not to fast track development or 'balance business & the environment'.

Dorian Moro & Wiluna Martu Rangers. A site was identified by rangers in healthy spinifex. Ground searches found scats, active burrows & tracks. Remote cameras confirmed tjakurra, the first for Matuwa Kurrawa NP / IPA. Surveys have identified 116 active burrows. Biodiversity Conference 2025.
