I posted that this morning before I heard there will be another 90 to 100% tariff ADDED to Chineses goods. Retailers will buy the bare minimum going into January so stock up on what you want for yourself (or for the holidays) in the next few weeks. Seriously. #tariffs #retail

A brief story of the first Spirit of STL toy airplanes. The owners of Carter Carburetor were friendly w/Charles Lindbergh. Carter Carburetor bought into a toy company in North STL (1925) which would go on to produce some of the first mass produced Spirit of St Louis toys after Lindbergh’s flight!

We went down a rabbit-hole searching for better information on toys with unsafe lead levels in the 1960s and 70s. The pigments are the main source of lead and other heavy metals, the worst offenders according to the NEHA are the colors: brown, orange, green and yellow. More at a later date.
