The disconnected Apple Pencil? The expression sheet with all the same expression? The art with the footsteps in the snow in front of the characters running? The file with one (1) background layer? Erasing the “hand drawn” background by hand on said one (1) layer file? Where do I starttttttt

This is AI, right? He never talks this fast or this focused.
Bluesky has a 3-minute limit but here's most of Trump's new video telling Republicans to end the filibuster.
"It was their idea originally, Obama and Harry Reid, in order to screw the Republicans, and now we can turn it around and we can screw the Democrats and make our country so strong."

Many full time creatives have “invisible safety nets” like bread-winning partners, trust funds, external support, etc. No shame on anyone, but it creates a false vision of success. The cost of going to cons alone on top of hoping to eat as a freelancer are untenable, IMO.
When people hear that I'm returning to part time work they often ask "are things not going well with your art?"
The problem really is things are going well, but the world is so unstable that I long for some consistency and income that I don't have to pay quarterly taxes on

Here’s @realgdt.bsky.social in NYC expanding on his rallying cry of ‘fuck AI!’, talking about how art and even love come from shared pain and movies can save your life. This shit made me and others in the audience cry as much as his version of Frankenstein…

Always take sentences using “the Cloud” or “the Internet” and try replacing those phrases with “A shed in Virginia” to see how they hold up. “Our service is fully based in a shed in Virginia”; “All my files are in a shed in Virginia”; “A shed in Virginia was designed to survive a nuclear war”, etc.

This is what I expected from the government, but it's incredibly disappointing that Autism New Zealand should go along with it. We need to make "regular" schools cater to neurodivergent students — which will benefit everyone! — not segregate difference.

Literally every time something you love is acquired by a bigger entity, they'll swear up and down that they won't do the things nobody wants them to do but that they very obviously want to do. Then a few months later they'll just do it anyway

As someone trying to get things made, this is the most succinct description of the problem I have yet seen
All the people with taste are broke, all the people who lack taste have the money, and making anything requires bridging the two in the dumbest ways possible.
