For those of us of a certain age, seeing the Pistons win in the playoffs was just a regular occurrence. From 1987-2008, they played in eleven (!) Eastern Conference Finals, and five NBA Finals. And then zero wins for 17 years. It feels great to get back in the win column.

File this under “things only people over the age of 40 would say”, but it is too bad Sports Illustrated isn’t still around to cover Rory’s win at The Masters. The cover photo of him celebrating on his knees would’ve been an all-time great SI cover.

Apparently the key to everlasting youth is to spend 60 years living like a rock star? How on earth does Mick Jagger look like that at age 81?

I want the public to understand one of the programs that's been shut down at Michigan: As has been reported in Bridge Magazine, (bridgemi.com/talent-educa...), this program was shut down by DOGE. What does it do?

I’m sure plenty of people under 30 (or even 40) aren’t into this, but this SNL 50 is basically reliving my youth in 3 hours.

80% of these performances are related to to a core memory from my life. #SNL50

This would be a massive shakeup for a commercial office market that is already struggling. These leases represent several hundred million square feet of office space.

How good was Ichiro Suzuki at baseball? In 2001, I traded an actual couch to my roommate in order to add him to my fantasy team. I can’t understand the one voter who didn’t vote for his Hall of Fame induction.

Danny Wolf with a remarkable stat line for Michigan basketball tonight - 21 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists, 6 blocks, and 2 steals. And he shot 75% from the field.

It was a conference player of the year type performance.

I’m not saying this guarantees a good year, but Flava Flav dumping mayo on PJ Fleck seems like a good way to start 2025.
Literally no one was happier to find out that Flava Flav was the secret mayo bowl mascot than PJ Fleck

Here’s my biggest complaint with the College Football Playoff so far - these games need to be spread out to NBC, CBS and FOX and not just be ESPN productions. We’re getting the C and D production and announcing teams on some of these games.

Bumping this after tonight’s win over Xavier. Michigan with 17 assists again tonight. They averaged less than 12.5 assists per game each of the last two seasons. A dramatic improvement.
I can’t get over how much more fun this Michigan basketball team is to watch this year. Another great game where the ball kept moving. Ended up with 17 assists on 25 made field goals.
