I'm annoyed that you even have to do this, but make sure you turn off "Smart" setting in Gmail so Google doesn't train AI on your personal information

Gmail can read your emails and attachments to train its AI, unless you opt out
A new Gmail update may allow Google to use your private messages and attachments for AI training. Here's how to turn it off.

I always love when an author has a good description of adolescence:

“They both have the rangy look of boys who are no longer little but who won’t be men for some time yet. All teeth and elbows and knees, they need haircuts and baths. (1/2)

Came to church with a heavy heart, re: everything going on.

Still heavy. But seeing the saints and worshiping Jesus together is deeply grounding.

Yes grief, but in hope.

I put together a few thoughts on how the Bible tells history, and how it might inform how we tell American history as well

Biblical Historiography
I was in the eighth grade when I first encountered competing historical narratives. I had just moved to the United States from Canada, and in my US History class we were taught about the War of 181…

Im putting it out there right now: if I die suddenly and tragically, and my family tries to resurrect me through the power of AI, I will haunt them so badly they're gonna spend the rest of their lives building neverending mazes of stairwells and hallways as part of their infinitely expanding home
At 4p ET/1p PT, I’ll have a one of a kind interview with Joaquin Oliver. He died in the Parkland school shooting. But his parents have created an AI version of their son for a powerful message on gun violence. Plus TX Rep. @jamestalarico.bsky.social - see you soon on Substack and later on YouTube.

It's true! Bondi was a registered lobbyist for foreign clients, including the government of Qatar - which is now giving Trump a jet. tinyurl.com/mr36frb8

Bondi is the first AG to have been a lobbyist for foreign governments. (She also disbanded the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force.)
I’m sorry, what now?
Pam Bondi was getting $115,000 a month to lobby for Qatar before she left to defend Donald Trump:

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!
