Castaway meets Misery by way of Lord of The Flies & Triangle of Sadness in this delightfully great flick from director Sam Raimi. Bolstered by his smooth direction, plus Damien Shannon & Mark Swift’s sharp script, #SendHelp is a hell of a good time. You gotta experience this at the cinema

RIP Tom Noonan
A gifted writer, director & actor. His portrayal of Francis Dolarhyde in Manhunter was unforgettable.
It was deeply sympathetic, nuanced & disturbing. You felt for the deeply damaged human being inside the monster.
This scene in particular is extraordinary: youtu.be/y07Z8YVbjbs?...

Bill Hader doing an impression of Oliver Reed explaining the difference between acting on stage & acting on film.
Love how he cracks Paul Giamatti up.

I know it’s a teaser trailer and the first bit of marketing for the film, but still that #CliffBooth trailer didn’t do much for me.

#28YearsLaterTheBoneTemple is a big step up from the last film. Funny, visceral, terrifying, compelling & well made. Nia DaCosta directed the hell out of this. Like Juan Carlos Fresnadillo did with 28 Weeks Later, she makes her own cool & substantial personal stamp on the franchise. Great director

Stranger Things fans have concocted a theory that suggests a true, secret ending episode to the series is coming out this week — and now the community is having to issue a warning not to get upset when it turns out to be false. https://bit.ly/4qe0bHW

An exceptional & beautifully shot film. Cries & Whispers like a lot of Bergman’s films is filled with so much depth & many interpretations. So compelling & it hooks you immediately. This would make for a nice companion piece with Autumn Sonata, another brilliant Bergman film.

“As I was leaving, I asked if he'd give me a ride home. I hadn't ridden on a motorcycle in a long time. Actually, I hadn't been that close to a man for a while. The road wasn't that long, and I knew I'd be getting off soon. But at that moment I felt such warmth.”

Chungking Express 2.0. An electrifying, cool and absorbing film. Wong Kar-wai and Christopher Doyle are like one of those cinematic matches made in heaven. Such a grungy and beautifully visual film. One of those films where you just want to be a part of the movie and be immersed in it

Jane Schoenbrun’s I Saw The TV Glow is exceptional. Brilliant & tragically poignant. Aspects of this surreal & allegorical Lynchian film is gonna resonate with people. An important film made with a real aim, with depth & subtly to it. An existential film that scarily captures isolation & alienation
