So GenAI hasn't made the processes more efficient, won't be in the final game, and, reading between the lines here, is largely disliked among the employees forced to use it... so... what's the point of using it at all.

I consider myself very lucky that when I was laid off in finance I had almost no commitments and no time pressure, but it was still an incredibly stressful experience. I cannot imagine what everyone who was fired at Microsoft is feeling.

I got to have the "which pokemon is strongest?" conversation with one of my new students tonight, and was told my answer of "whichever one you like best!" was corny and when I said "Oh. Arceus then." had my pronunciation challenged. The kids are powergamers.
