I've begun coloring again. Enjoyed playing with marker blending techniques on this mandala I drew in Affinity a while back. #coloring #mandala #handdrawn #alcoholmarkers #gelpen (All my coloring from here on out will have the red hanko seal for my name.)
Hand drawn mandala in yellows, oranges, purples, and greens. White dots and lines bring contrast and highlight areas. The mandala has many organic petal and flower shapes.

🌟 Excited to share my latest project: Hitomezashi Style Sashiko Coasters! 🎨✨
I've been diving back into sashiko, the beautiful Japanese embroidery technique that combines art with tradition.

A set of four navy blue fabric coasters arranged in a square on a wooden surface. Each coaster features an identical diamond-shaped pattern created with white running stitches in the hitomezashi sashiko style. When I worked in MoD back in the 70s, if the finance people wanted to get factual information from the naval officers in the building, I was usually sent to ask, on the grounds that they'd tell me more stuff because they didn't think I'd take it in/understand it. Reader, they did - and I did.
