This week has been a lot and I’ve been quite upset 😩😭 I do have good news though - I had feedback on my first apprenticeship project, and it’s “exceptional” 😁 I’m so proud! Glad I’ve got #parkrun and @matthew-wright.bsky.social on @lbc.co.uk to help me process the ups and downs of this week 🎧

Over the weekend there was a development with my dad which is worrying 😟 so I decided to book a therapy session for the first time in eight months, and it was tonight - I feel so much better, it was nice to offload to someone who isn’t family and discuss what’s going on without judgement 😊

As I’ve seen this confused a few times, please note that Robin Gibb was a much-beloved member of the Bee Gees, whilst Robbie Gibb is the BBC board member who also, totally coincidentally, was editorial adviser in the set-up of GB News.

I know, Bee Gees, GBeebies, a bit confusing…

“A sustained campaign of anti-migrant rhetoric is fuelling a growing cesspool of racism, including against international and ethnic minority nursing staff, without whom our health and care system would simply cease to function.”

How disgraceful.

Had a fab time at the @bluelightcard.bsky.social Thorpe Park Member Day ☺️🎢 haven’t laughed like that in ages, and it definitely helped take things off my mind while hurtling around the air 😂 loved it and can’t wait for next year 🙌🏻 #thorpepark #bluelightcard #nhsworker

Having a moment of calm this morning listening to @matthew-wright.bsky.social before going to Thorpe Park later 🎢 also will be waiting to hear from mum, as we might finally be on the path to a diagnosis for my dad after three long years. The NHS have been abysmal, we’ve had to go private 😩

My anxiety is a lot better this week ☺️ I faced a few of my fears, including recording new episodes/interviews for Amy Talks 🎙️ also going to test drive two cars today, looking forward to it! 🚗 before that, it’s time for the ritual of #parkrun while listening to @matthew-wright.bsky.social 👟🎧

I decided to challenge myself to go to the local fireworks show alone this evening. I’m glad I did, because I really enjoyed it and it made me smile 😁🎆 #fireworksnight #localevent #anxiety

Had a better night’s sleep last night ☺️ currently listening to @matthew-wright.bsky.social while thinking about what I’ve got coming up - some 10K runs in Jan/Feb, the fireworks event tonight, and searching for a new car 🚗 😍 there’s lots to look forward to despite the shit family situation 🙌🏻

I skipped #parkrun this morning, as I had a really anxious night ☹️ given what’s going on family-wise, it would make sense, but I feel myself getting worse generally, my thoughts spiralling a lot 😩 I’m sad to have missed my run and listening to my (unpaid) running coach @matthew-wright.bsky.social 😜👟

Things don’t always go our way - that’s just life.

It isn’t what happens to us that makes a difference to the outcome, it’s how we respond and what we do, that really matters.
