Alt: a man is sitting on a couch reading a book with a pillow on his lap - and because sometimes i need to remember that not everything is shit, i made this graphic about my silly little novel. a novel that apparently some people like, even if it's self-published, even if it's slow, even if it's emotional, even if it's unconventional. and it's because of those people who like my book that it's gotten a nod (several nods) from Book Riot, got a foot in the door at BBNYA, won Best Disability Rep at the IndieVerse Awards, and is now a finalist at the Indie Ink Awards for Neurodivergent Rep by an ND author. i did question Even If We're Broken's inclusion in ND rep, because it's mostly mental health and disability represented (but those categories are more populated and it's a vote-based final leg). then it was pointed out to me that acquired ND is a thing and that is rep'd, so i accepted it. when it comes to awards, i've always said it's nice enough just to be included. but the IndieVerse and Indie Ink awards wouldn't have been possible at all without readers who actually liked my book. so to those who took time out of their day to vote (for me and others), thank you. thank you for reading. 🥺🫶

Alt: a cartoon cat sitting in the rain looking sad - 'm trying to be kind to myself, yes, which includes reminding myself that i have a loving family and partner, friends, an upward trajectory for physical health to look forward to, and accomplishments under my belt. like, i wrote a dang book. and published it. then wrote and published several more. and yesterday i wrote again after developing a new story. i'm trying to be kind and reminding myself that even the little things matter, like flavored coffee and buying a new succulent just because it's cute. Alt: a man is sitting at a diner table drinking from a coffee cup bigger than his head and the caption readers just a sec brain has run dry as he sips - i'm tired. coffee and sleep aren't helping, but at least they keep be upright. i'm tired bc of all the bs i went through physically and emotionally since mid-December plus ~gestures at everything~. i've been crying randomly/when triggered because _hormones_ and stress too. i'm trying to be kind to myself and getting myself nice things, like flavored coffee which is a bitch to find in france (shout-out to the company Quai Sud for being real ones).
