Ever wondered how bad a letter has to be, for the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner NOT to publish it? Here is your answer: Unless there's a two-week backlog, they've consigned my LTE to the memory hole. Apparently they draw the line at calling Moms For Liberty "creepy."

My LTE in today's News-Miner. The letter's unofficial title is "Charlie Kirk: The Dogshit Salad of American Political Discourse."

Dear @alaskaairlines.bsky.social — I'm cool with the pink ribbon for breast cancer, but not with symbols of Christian nationalism like the one at center here. Please address this at the policy level.

They didn't interview anybody for the article — but still! an article!

Dipika Guha's comedy "Yoga Play," directed by Yours Truly, opens Friday at Fairbanks Drama Association. I'm enormously proud of this production.

Fairbanks: UPCOMING AUDITIONS, July 13-15!

I'm not supposed to reveal the title for a couple more weeks, but FDA's season-opener is a comedy about corporate greed, cultural appropriation, and the struggle for authenticity in a consumerist culture.

If your friends may be interested, pass it along!

Fairbanks: Acting opportunities for Asian men!

My September play, a comedy, includes two Asian characters, one Indian and one Singaporean. Curious? Give me a shout. All accents and body types are welcome, as are gender-nonconforming actors. No previous theater experience is needed.

Logging out on all computers, deleting the app from my phone. I'll check in next year to see if @aaron.bsky.team and @support.bsky.team have worked out how to block known stochastic terrorist, proven ToS-violator, and harasser of trans people Jesse Singal @jessesingal.com.

Happy holidays to all!

I wish that all real, non-bot persons (or organizations with accounts) would:
(1) Change their display name to something other than their handle,
(2) Use a distinctive profile picture, and
(3) Put AT LEAST a few words in their bio.

If you feel that this subtweet is about you, then, yes, it is.

'Innocent' is doing some pretty heavy lifting here.

I mean, how do you figure?

Is it decided yet that the Bluesky leadership isn't merely dragging its feet but is flat-out UNWILLING to enforce its Terms Of Service for life-threatening harassers like Jesse Singal?

In two months I've come to enjoy this place, but I'll drop it if it can't be a safe place for trans persons.

now petitioning the Alaska Division of Motor Vehicles to make our license plates read:
A LAST FRONTIER
Alright, this is the second ceremony in a row where they've sung "a last frontier" instead of "the Last Frontier" during the Alaska Flag Song. They even printed it in the program. @anchistorian.bsky.social am I going crazy? When I was singing in my school assemblies as a kid, I swear it was "the."

This is incredibly useful and you should do it, but also... Think of what this suggests for the future and how sad it is. One day art historians will call 2022 something like Annus Fictus, the Year of Forgeries, where from that point on the provenance of the hand of the artist was washed away.

Ditched the action-movie idea and started in on "13 Reasons Why". It was a little hard to watch, chiefly because high-schoolers are such ignorant, vapid shits, especially in movies and television.
